August 3-10: Teacher PD Week
Our teachers spend the week preparing for an incredible year ahead.
August 6: Meet the Teacher
Come meet your child's teacher, see the classroom, and get ready for a golden year! This is a great opportunity for students and families to feel comfortable and excited before the first day.
August 11: First Day of School
Here we go! The 2026-27 school year officially kicks off. It's going to be a great one.

No school. Enjoy the long weekend with your family!
September 18: End of 1st Six Weeks
The first grading period wraps up.
September 25: Student Holiday / PD Day
No school for students.
October 5-9: Parent-Teacher Conferences
A dedicated time to connect with your child's teacher, review progress, and celebrate growth. We love partnering with our families!
October 12-13: Student Holiday / PD Day
No school for students.
October 14-16: Fall Break 🍁
Enjoy a long fall weekend with your family.
November 5: End of 2nd Six Weeks
The second grading period comes to a close.
November 6: Student Holiday / PD Day
No school for students.
November 23–27: Thanksgiving Break 🦃

Our teachers work hard all year to prepare students with the skills and confidence they need. We're proud of every student who shows up and gives their best. *There are makeup dates available for STAAR testing.

Golden Rule Schools is a place where something meaningful is always happening. Special events are scheduled throughout the year as we celebrate student achievements, honor our community's culture, and bring families together. We recognize students for their attendance and strong academic performance in front of their classmates and families at assemblies throughout the school year.
